HOW COULD WE COMPACT THE EXCESS?
CORE CONCEPTS
Titanium Frame: A titanium frame is stronger and lighter than most metals, thanks to its superior strength-to-weight ratio and durability without excess weight.
Concept 1: ACCORDION SHELTER
Changing the form by using a telescoping frame for the portaledge significantly reduces not the volume of the portaledge when not in use but also the haul bag itself, making the portaledge easier to attach to a haul bag, while also reducing bulk and improving portability.

Concept 2: ULTRA-LIGHT LOAD
By changing the usual material to a lighter but as strong one, the climber would have more opportunity to store things on their apparel, incorporating compartments for essentials, while also providing more mobility as well.
